IRB

The Institutional Review Board (IRB) at King Abdullah University Hospital (KAUH) and Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) bears the responsibility of safeguarding the rights, welfare, and privacy of human research participants. The IRB is committed to ensuring that all research involving human subjects or human data—whether conducted at KAUH, other hospitals, or external locations—adheres to both national and international ethical guidelines, regulatory requirements, and institutional policies. The committee meticulously reviews, approves, and monitors research proposals to guarantee ethical integrity, mitigate risks, and uphold the highest standards of scientific and medical research.

IRB Mission

Assure that all research performed on humans is conducted according to the highest ethical standards by applying appropriate policies and complying with national and international guidelines and regulatory requirements.

It is the vision of JUST-KAUH IRB that the rights and walfare of human research subjects are protected and investigators are provided with thorough and timely review of their research proposals.
