New research published by the International Journal of General Medicine, which is classified in the first category in the world (Scopus Q1) (ISI SCIE)

Entitled acute arterial thrombosis in the lower extremities in patients infected with the emerging corona virus, which was conducted at the King Abdullah University Hospital at the Jordan University of Science and Technology.

Where the consultant vascular surgery and catheterization Dr. Nabil Al-Zoubi (the first researcher) emphasized a significant increase in the percentage of arterial clots in the period of the Corona pandemic and the need for rapid diagnosis to prevent complications that may lead to loss of life or limbs.

Dr. Al-Zoubi indicated that a large number of Corona virus patients had arterial clots as a result of hypercoagulation of the blood when infected with the virus.

Al-Zoubi explained that the study he prepared is the first of its kind and its importance lies in the fact that it will direct the attention of vascular surgeons around the world to study this phenomenon that can be avoided, especially in individuals who are predisposed to arterial thrombosis.
